There can be many reasons for
considering a hidden “Nanny Cam” in your home. You may have
suspicions about your current nanny, babysitter, or other
caregiver. You may want a way to evaluate new caregivers so
that you can be assured they are treating your children the
same way you would. You may also just want some peace of mind
knowing you are doing everything you can to protect your
little pride and joy. Whatever the reason, don’t feel weird
about getting a hidden camera system because after all, this
is for your kids.
Basically the way this works is that a
small camera is hidden inside an everyday household item such
as a clock, smoke alarm, or clock radio (see photos above for
examples). The basic camera is black and white, but can be
upgraded with color, sound, or even a low light camera. You
can add as many cameras to your system as you would like, but
most people tend to use two or three.
The other major option is how you would like to record your
video. You can choose for example, a mantle clock that has a
built in SD Card that stores your video. In this option, you
can view your video by either plugging it directly into your
tv, or removing the SD Card and inserting it into your
computer for viewing there as well. Another option is to have
your video recorded on a DVR. Finally, you can have all your
cameras feed into your computer and have the video stored on
your hard drive. There is also an option that allows you to
view your video from a remote location through the internet.
